Addresses last up to 24 hours, with a default lifetime of 3 hours; messages are cleared with the service cycle.
Your login email is used for verification and forwarding; records are available in the dashboard for the last 30 days.
We do not sell personal information or build cross-site advertising profiles.
You can change a temporary address, delete aliases and archives, or contact us to handle a request.
1. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to the temporary email, email preview, forwarding alias, archiving, and account security features provided by temponce.com. Once you leave our site, how third-party websites handle data is governed by their own policies, and we cannot make commitments on their behalf.
Using this site does not mean email content is automatically free of sensitive information. Choose data appropriate for your testing needs, and avoid sending real customer, financial, or medical information to a temporary address.
2. Information we collect
An unauthenticated temporary inbox generates a random address, access token, expiration time, email metadata and content, plus the network and error logs needed to operate the service. The token lets the current browser access the inbox and should not be shared with others.
When you use the forwarding service, we process your login email, email verification status, aliases, forwarding results, archives from the last 30 days, and optional two-step verification settings. We do not require you to set an account password on our site.
3. How information is generated
Most information is generated when you create an address, log in, configure an alias, or receive email. The service also automatically records request times, error types, basic device details, and network information to detect abuse and troubleshoot reliability issues.
Email is delivered by external senders, so the sender, recipient, subject, body, and attachments may contain information supplied by others. Make sure your testing has a lawful basis, and do not impersonate anyone.
4. How we use information
We use information to create and restore inboxes, display messages, forward email, verify logins, maintain security status, and respond to support requests. Necessary logs help prevent bulk abuse, investigate delivery failures, and maintain capacity.
We do not use email content for ad targeting or sell it to train public models. If our purposes change materially in the future, we will update this policy first and take any required steps to notify you.
5. Retention periods
| Data category | Typical retention | What happens after expiration |
|---|---|---|
| Temporary addresses and email | 3 hours by default; may be extended, but total lifetime is no more than 24 hours | Automatically expires and enters the cleanup process |
| Forwarded email archives | Approximately 30 days | Deleted on a rolling basis or earlier by the user |
| Account and alias settings | While the account is active | Handled upon request and as required by law |
| Security and error logs | Limited period needed for security purposes | Aggregated, rotated, or deleted |
Retention periods may be extended for a limited time because of security investigations, dispute handling, or legal obligations. We limit any extension to what is necessary and do not describe a temporary service as a permanent archive.
6. Cookies and local storage
This site uses browser local storage to save the current temporary email status, forwarding login token, and essential interface settings, so you can continue your task after refreshing the page. These are not cross-site advertising cookies and are not used to track your activity on other websites.
Clearing site data removes tokens stored on your device, and you may no longer be able to reopen the original temporary inbox. On a public or shared device, we recommend logging out of the dashboard and clearing site data when you finish.
7. Sharing and processors
To operate hosting, email receipt, forwarding, and security protection, we may allow infrastructure providers to process information within defined limits. These providers may process data only for the service purpose and may not sell it independently or use it for advertising profiles.
We may disclose necessary information when required by law, to protect user safety, or to investigate clear abuse. We review the scope of each request and, where legally permitted, minimize what we disclose.
8. International data processing
Internet email may pass through infrastructure in different regions, and service providers may be located somewhere different from the user. We reduce the risks of international processing through contracts, security measures, and data minimization.
Please do not use this site to transmit data subject to strict location restrictions without an appropriate legal basis. If your organization has specific compliance requirements, complete an internal assessment first.
9. Security measures
We use access tokens, encryption in transit, permission isolation, optional two-step verification, and restricted HTML previews to reduce risk. Real HTML email is displayed in a restricted frame to reduce the possibility that scripts and styles will affect the site interface.
No system can guarantee absolute security. If you discover a suspected breach, unusual access, or vulnerability, please use the support email to provide the time, page, and reproduction steps. Do not attach unrelated sensitive content.
10. Your rights and choices
You can change your address, delete messages, delete or pause aliases, log out, and manage two-step verification through the interface. Where applicable law allows, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or object to specific processing.
We may need to verify the requester’s connection to the account to prevent data from being claimed by someone else. If certain data cannot be deleted immediately because of fraud prevention, disputes, or legal obligations, we will explain the basis and expected handling.
11. Children
This site is not designed for children below the applicable legal age, and we do not knowingly collect children’s information. If a guardian believes a minor has submitted personal information to the site, they can contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
When schools or organizations use test email, they should use fictional test data and controlled processes, and should not place real student information in a temporary inbox.
12. Policy changes and contact
We may update this policy as our features, legal requirements, or security practices change, and will adjust the date at the top of the page. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes, but you should also review this page regularly.
Send privacy questions, rights requests, and security reports to support@temponce.com. To help us respond, say whether the matter concerns a temporary email or forwarding account and provide an approximate time.
